Emilia-Romagna is Italy’s gastronomic paradise. Emilia extends along the flat land west of Bologna to cities like Parma and Modena. Bologna sits in the centre. Romagna extends east to the Adriatic Sea. Florence is one hour south of Bologna and Venice about 2 ½ hours north by fast train.

ARRIVE BOLOGNA AIRPORT.
DEPART FOR LA FENICE AGRITURISMO, YOUR HOME FOR THE NEXT 4 NIGHTS, SMALL TOUR OF AREA. CHECK IN AT LA FENICE, SHORT WALK OR REST UP, DINNER 7PM, RETIRE TO BED EALRY
DAY 2:
BREAKFAST 9AM
1ST. COOKERY LESSON, 1000 TO 1300 TO PREPARE LUNCH
AFTER LUNCH GROUP WALK TO DROGEDNA (LOCAL HISTORIC AREA) AND BACK TO TOLE, OUR LOCAL VILLAGE FOR SOME REFRESHMENTS. DRIVE OR WALK HOME, REST UP FOR DINNER AT 7PM
DAY 3:
9AM VISIT CASAIFICIO (LOCAL CREAMERY) SEE PARMESAN CHEESE BEING MADE, BACK FOR BREAKFAST.
AFTER BREAKFAST VISIT NEARBY VILLAGE TO SEE A BALSAMIC ATTIC AND MUSEUM, SEE HOW BALSAMIC VINEGAR IS MADE THE TRADITIONAL WAY. HOME FOR LUNCH
2nd. COOKERY LESSON, APPROX 1500 TO 1800 TO PREPARE LUNCH AND DINNER DISHES.
DAY 4:
9AM BREAKFAST
GROUP WALK TO PIEVE DE ROFFINO, WONDERFUL HISTORIC SITE WITH PICNIC AREA FOR OUR PICNIC LUNCH

DEPART FOR BOLOGNA AIRPORT, GROUP MEMBERS WHO WISH TO STAY ON IN ITALY CAN HAVE TRANSPORT TO BOLOGNA CITY WHERE THEY CAN CONNECT WITH TRANSPORT, IE RENT A CAR, TRAIN OR BUS.

Rates include:
4 night stay, full board, Bologna Airport or downtown transfer, 3 x 1/2 day hands-on cooking lessons, visit to Parmesan Creamery, visit to Balsamic Museum. Organized walks to collect whatever is in season in the

Each student will receive a customized apron and a recipe folder with the recipes of the week enclosed.
